Welcome to GamerU's tips and tricks for Best Fiends! The levels tend to be clogged with all sorts of stuff in the way that you need to watch out for.
The most common are simple debris, like tree stumps, branches, ice walls, snowdrifts, and so on.
- The debris can be broken by matching pieces right next to them, busting them apart with each combo.
- You will obviously want to clear out debris as soon as a level starts to free up your combo space.
- Some debris takes multiple combos to destroy, unless you are using Bomb Pieces made by bomber characters. Their bombs can blow up any debris in the way, so if you have a cramped, debris-choked level, bring along some bombers to help clear them.
Another thing to note is gunk and slime.
- Some levels begin with pieces trapped in gunk and cannot be moved, even by gravity, until you use combos or bombs to blow the gunk off.
- Slime however, is even worse. It has a chance every turn to spread out and engulf nearby tiles if you let it! If left unchecked, slime can literally take over the whole board, so destroy slime as soon as possible before that happens.
