Xeno Fighters R is a shmup fangame inspired by the Raiden Fighters series by Seibu Kaihatsu. It is currently under development by Team XF.
The game has four original ships: the Amada Vipros, the Phyxius, the Zaiva, and the Xelcor. It also features guest fighters from other shoot 'em up games by Psikyo, Capcom, Konami, and others. There are 20 stages to play in the game with four different game modes to select from.
The story of Xeno Fighters R involves BRES, a group of humans subverted by the hostile Keto. BRES and the Keto extraterrestrials attack ATHENA through various periods in Earth's war history, using the wars as cover to their operations to destroy the Earth. The guest fighters do not have any connection to the story.
Xeno Fighters R has a long development history, starting in 1998.
The Blue Javelin does not move as fast as the Judge Spear, but it has an above-average movement speed. Its Vulcan Cannon mk2 gains a small spread at higher levels, giving it additional coverage that the Judge Spear lacks.
The Blue Javelin has a precision hit-and-run playstyle. Since its Burst Missile weapon has a long cooldown between bursts, most of its damage potential comes from engaging an enemy with strategic strikes, and breaking away to dodge their attacks.
Like the Judge Spear and Dark Sword, it uses the powerful Dimension Mine as its Bomber.
All Seibu Kaihatsu guest fighters are not invincible when using their Bomber.
