From ScreenRant

“Bloodborne First-Person Camera Mod Looks Amazing To Play. A YouTuber managed to complete the undertaking of building a first-person mod for Bloodborne on PlayStation 4 that's based on the first-person mod for Dark Souls III. Running mods on PlayStation hardware is nothing short of a convoluted process that turns many off from even trying. YouTuber Garden of Eyes (via DSOGaming) recently shared footage of their Bloodborne in first-person mod. Garden of Eyes collaborated with Zullie the Witch on the project, using her Dark Souls III first-person mod as a baseline. As many have already pointed out, this particular Bloodborne mod looks as though it would shine in virtual reality. For now, though, the first-person perspective on its own will have to suffice. The modder plans to launch the content sometime "very soon," but has yet to detail a specific release window. Bloodborne initially hit store shelves more than six years ago, yet Soulsborne faithful remain as dedicated to the experience as ever.”

From VG247

“The War for Wakanda expansion brings with it a bunch of new content, all important to improving the wider Avengers experience. Top billing of course goes to T’Challa himself, the Black Panther - an all-new playable hero for this expansion. As promised, he’s a free addition to the game, with monetization coming in other forms if you take to him and want to nab neat cosmetic rewards to show off in multiplayer.

From Comicbook

“Near the release of Marvel's Avengers in 2020, developer Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix announced that they would be adding Spider-Man as a playable character in the future for those on PlayStation platforms. The announcement itself was not accompanied by much additional information, and since coming about, Crystal Dynamics has been pretty tight-lipped on when Spidey will actually be coming to Avengers. And while we're still going to have to wait a bit longer to see what Spider-Man will look like in-game, it has been confirmed that he'll still be added before the end of this year.

“Pinhead comes to DBD as The Cenobite as a part of yesterday's 5.2.0 PTB update. His abilities largely involve summoning chains to slow down survivors, pinning them down until he can come in for the kill. But having Pinhead on the map will also spawn a Lament Configuration—Hellraiser's damned puzzlebox that, when left alone, will itself summon chains to hunt down survivors. Despite starting with original creations, Dead by Daylight has added plenty of licensed killers (and a few survivors) to its roster over the years. But this week we saw that licensed agreements can also have a horrible end, with Stranger Things characters set to leave the game in November over (we can only assume) an expired agreement.”

From Eurogamer

“Another month means a fresh batch of additions to Sony's PlayStation Now service, with August's offerings now confirmed to be Nier: Automata, Ghostrunner, and Undertale. Nier: Automata is probably the biggest eye-catcher, providing another opportunity to experience developer Platinum Games' celebrated action-RPG. Creator Yoko Taro's second Nier outing - which follows the dystopian travails of androids 2B and 9S - is as richly atmospheric and dizzyingly inventive as its predecessor, mixing Platinum's tried-and-tested hack-and-slash action with ample genre-busting surprises as its layers are gradually revealed.”

From Eurogamer

“PlayStation 5 was recently updated to support NVMe-based PCI Express 4.0 storage upgrades - so what happens when an Xbox Series S SSD is ripped out of the console and inserted into PS5 instead? But without digging into the video, I'm sure you'd all like to know what happens when an Xbox SSD is placed into PlayStation 5 because here's the thing... it should work. Based on our tests, the console will work with any PCIe gen 4 NVMe drive. The only guidance is that you should be looking for read speed minimums of 5500MB/s. Of course, the theoretical bandwidth of the Xbox drive is much lower (circa 2400MB/s) but the point is that lower speed drives work - Sony just doesn't recommend using them.”
