I decided to choose Tepig since it has the best stats and best movepool between all starters. I checked it's stats during the Bianca battle and it had 13/10/11 for Attack/Special Attack/Speed after many resets. When it leveled up beating Cheren it had 15/11/12, which was a best case scenario. It had 'likes to trash about' which means an Attack IV of 31 or 26. Since Speed was 12, the Attack IV should be 31. I was really surprised with this and I discovered later that it's Speed IV was also 31 making it the perfect Tepig for speed runs.
I got the Xtransceiver and entered Bianca's house. I followed her to Junipers lab where I got the Pokédex. I also received the Town Map and went through the required Pokémon catching tutorial.

Saved at 0:07 with a L6 Tepig.
