I've made the final battle against Blue a lot harder then it should have been. First, I forgot to buy a Guard Special in Celadon City to prevent Pidgeot from lowering Charizard's accuracy with Sand Attack. I also forgot to pick one up in the Victory Road as an alternative. I needed to use 2 X-Attacks, which gave Pidgeot two opportunities to use Sand Attack. I OHKO'd it with Rock Slide and Blastoise is the next problem.
Charizard was not able to survive a Hydro Pump, so that attack needed to miss. Another option was flinching Blastoise with Rock Slide. Then, I finished it off with Earthquake. If that wasn't bad enough, it was also able to barely survive both attacks. Alakazam and Exeggutor were simple OHKO's with Wing Attack. Then there were Rhydon and Arcanine, who were both able to barely survive an Earthquake too. I could have used an extra X-Attack or picked up more Proteins to eliminate this problem, but after a lot of resets, it played out well.
Entered the Hall Of Fame at 2:13:54 with a L64 Charizard. This time was a lot better then expected since I tought I could barely reach sub 2:20. I'm very happy of this time and I think that sub 2:10 is certainly possible for those who want to try.
