What’s up everyone! It’s Tim from TimPlaysAGame with part 3 of my Pokemon GO log. Last time I stated that I was awaiting the arrival of my new phone. That phone did arrive a few days ago, and I have spent those days getting it set up, traveling around my town looking for Pokemon, capturing and evolving them, getting items from Pokestops, and gaining experience.
One of my favorite things to do is battling at Pokemon gyms. I really enjoyed the battle style and animations in Pokemon GO. They are reminiscent of the old-school point-of-view battle style that Pokemon fans are accustomed to. I enjoy traveling to different gyms and taking control of them. Unfortunately, this control only lasts for about a day and these gyms are quickly retaken by other teams. Perhaps I need to start attacking gyms with groups of people or maybe training at Team Mystic gyms to improve their prestige rating.
I have continued to capture and train a pretty strong team of Pokemon that I am happy with and hope to continue to improve upon. Some of my strongest which I use in my gym battles include Exeggutor, Flareon, Pinsir, Pidgeot, Golduck, and Tentacruel. I have also hatched some eggs and have captured Pokemon that are hard to find in my area, including a Mankey and a Rhyhorn. I have heard reports from friends that it is possible to hatch fully evolved Pokemon from eggs, but I have yet to see this for myself. There is also a local park that has become famous for being swarmed with Magmar. I have visited this park and captured one that was pretty strong.
My Pokedex has been coming along nicely, and I am up to 63 different Pokemon captured. A good amount of Pokemon have come from evolving Pokemon, but I know that I will need to a little more traveling to find other types of Pokemon, especially Ground and Rock type Pokemon. I hope that my trip to Tampa this weekend will be fruitful in finding and capturing new Pokemon. I have heard that there are rarer Pokemon in and around major cities. I will let you all know if this is true.
I would also like to state that it was a difficult weekend with the servers going down a few times, but I know this is a new app. Like all new apps there will be bugs, and it will take a few upgrades and updates before this game gets better and improves on its faults. I do think that it’s great that Pokemon GO is expanding to other countries including Canada. I think it’s great that people around the world can unite in the enjoyment of this app and hope that it will get better as it continues to spread in popularity. That is all for this video. Stay tuned to TimPlaysAGame for more Pokemon GO game logs and gaming news. I’m Tim from TimPlaysAGame signing off. Good night.
