The battle against Whitney must go perfect. Clefairy has to hit me three times with Double Slap to raise Croconaw's attack with Rage. It used Metronome instead but Triple Kick is an awedome replacement. Miltank is 2HKO'd, but it can't flinch Croconaw or it's over. I then got the Squirtle Bottle and finally left Goldenrod City.
I fought only one trainer on Route 35 and received a Spearow to use Fly. I deposited the Egg and also healed Croconaw by depositing and returning it. I also got the Quick Claw in the National Park. Spearow can OHKO that Venonat while Croconaw can't and I don't need to switch that way. It makes a good time saver and I saved before facing Sudowoodo.

Saved at 0:58 with a L23 Croconaw.
