The battle against Jupiter can be tough. I needed three Curses to 3HKO Skuntank. Her Zubay has Wing Attack which does reasonable damage. Skuntank can also be annoying with Smokescreen. I defeated her and left the Galactic Building. I had to accept the Egg or Cynthia wouldn't leave and I got the Bike.
I dodged every trainer on Cycling Road and Route 207. There is a Rare Candy here that will help later. A Razor Leaf powered up with Overgrow is the only way to OHKO the Hiker's Nosepass. I also picked up an Ether and entered Hearthome City. I deposited the Egg and healed Grotle by depositing and returning it. I went through all the contest scenes and finally entered the gym.

Saved at 1:03 with a L24 Grotle.
