When I entered Sunyshore I got approached by Flint and talked to him. Then I needed to find Volkner in the lighthouse. Only then I can enter the gym. 6 out of 8 trainers are required and all their Pokémon fall to Earthquake. I fought an extra Guitarist because it was faster to fight him than to wait for a few times until he turns. I also needed to refill my Earthquake PP to humaliate the rest of the trainers. I saved before facing Volkner.
