Pokémon Platinum Speed Run Segment 15 Part 1
3After dodging the rotating Grunt, I challenged Saturn. His Golbat is an easy 2HKO, but Supersonic needs to be avoided. His Bronzor is annoying and can use Iron Defense. I only accepted one Iron Defense or this battle will be too long. His Toxicroak is OHKO'd, but Poison Jab can be dangerous.
I flew back to Twinleaf Town after the battle and healed my Pokémon before entering Lake Verity. Here is a required double battle. I used Earthquake to OHKO both opponents and Bidoof is sacrificed. Then I used Return on the remaining Pokémon. Fake Out on Torterra is unacceptable. Then I dodged the next double battle and talked to Mars.
Mars is the same as Saturn: a Golbat with Supersonic and a Bronzor with Iron Defense. Now I have Crunch at my disposal to do more damage. I still need a X-Attack to 2HKO that Bronzor and OHKO Purugly with Earthquake. Then I flew to back to Celestic Town and bought some Hyper Potions and Max Repels. I splitted the segment up before entering Mt. Coronet.
