I used: Hisuian Zoroark, Samurott, and Weavile
My Opponent used: Greninja, Mewtwo, and Mew
Stadium: Medali
Battle BGM: The Top Champion

I go up against the Legendary Pokémon from the Kanto region, and a randomly placed Shiny Greninja on the team. It is getting harder to find the types of players that use Legendary Pokémon and not be the best players, because I come across many Legendary Pokémon teams, and some of them are from more advanced players that know what they are doing, but with this player, it is a team of Legendary Pokémon and is not as advanced as the players I have gone up against, not trying to call them bad players or anything, not everyone is a competitive battler, there are some that likes to use whichever Pokémon they want, and Legendary Pokémon tend to be really popular to those kinds of players, and as my opponent had Mewtwo, which is one of the most popular Pokémon out of the original Kanto Legendary Pokémon, and Greninja, which won two polls on the most popular Pokémon.
Greninja did end up being the lead, and I had Hisuian Zoroark to lead off the battle. I didn't want to take the chance of Greninja getting in a heavy hit on Zoroark, so I had to Terastallize her and use Tera Blast to get it out of the way, I went with a Fighting Tera Type for Zoroark to give her a way to take on Dark-type Pokémon. She has a Choice Specs for her held item, and I went with Shadow Ball for a STAB move, Flamethrower for type coverage, and Trick to screw opponents up. I have Weavile as the Pokémon that Zoroark will take the form of, because Weavile is normally weak to Fighting-type moves, if I have Zoroark in the lead, then it can prevent her from being affected by Fighting-type moves.
I did see my opponent used Mew in that battle, which had Transform, and I test out Samurott in this battle, and this is not the Hisuian Samurott, this is the original variant from Unova, Samurott is my favourite out of the Unova Starter Pokémon, even though they are kind of underrated, and the Hisuian Samurott is a good improvement as its signature move can set up Spikes as well as deal damage. The moves I went with on my one is Hydro Pump for a powerful Water-type move, Tera Blast and Ice Beam for type coverage, I went with an Electric Tera Type to give Samurott a way to fight opposing Water-type Pokémon, and he has Aqua Jet for priority.
While it is good to see the return of Samurott, as this was the only Pokémon to not be available in any Generation 8 game, well the Unova counterpart that is, because Hisuian Samurott was in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but I don't know if ever we will see Serperior or Emboar return in the DLC updates for this game. Serperior has been a top-tier Pokémon in the competitive scene because of its Hidden Ability of Contrary, and it can use Leaf Storm to increase its Special Attack stat after each use, and Emboar isn't really the most successful Pokémon in competitive battling as it is kind of on the slow side, and it is the third Fire/Fighting-type Starter Pokémon in a row, which I am still not over with, and I am personally not a fan of Emboar as a Pokémon, but I did try one in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire when its Hidden Ability of Reckless was introduced as it could learn moves like Flare Blitz and Wild Charge, and it can be tricky to use as it is a bit slow, usually requiring a use of Flame Charge if it needs to get in some Speed. If you are wondering about Serperior, while I am not a huge fan of that Pokémon, I don't mind its design, and before its Hidden Ability was released, it was really tricky to use, while it did have good Speed, it didn't have good attacking stats, which meant it needed to use Coil or Growth to even deal some reliable damage to opponents.
