Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Random Battles 1
0This was something that I did back in Sword & Shield, and I called it Random Battle, you might be wondering why I went with that name. This is because I use a random number generator to choose the Pokémon that can be used between 1 to 1025 out of the Pokémon that are available in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Then after the Pokémon are selected, I then use the random list to decide their moves out of every move they can learn, some moves are banned, for example, those that only work in Double Battles, like Helping Hand, Coaching, Dragon Cheer, and many others, and moves that you wouldn't use in Single Battles, like Heal Pulse and After You. While the Pokémon don't have items in this video, there are some moves that are based on held items, like Trick, Switcheroo, Fling, and Poltergeist, if any of the Pokémon receive those moves, them I can allow items for that battle.
I do a coin flip or a random list generator to decide which form the Pokémon is in if that Pokémon has many forms, Wooper for example I do a coin flip to decide whether to go with Paldean Wooper or the original form, and while it was in two battles for this video, the first battle had Paldean Wooper, while the second battle had the original Wooper, I put the region name in brackets to tell apart.
What made me quit random battles in Sword & Shield was because of how hard it was to get some moves, the most notable being the Tutor Moves, as they required an item that was very limited, but in this game, you can craft TMs using the materials from Pokémon.
I have included timestamps for each of the battles, team ordering and move selection is randomized, which is why I call it random battles.
Battle 1: Buizel, Hariyama, Poltchageist Vs. Reshiram, Crabrawler, Wooper (Paldea)
Battle 2: Doduo, Arboliva, Bergmite Vs. Wooper (Johto), Treecko, Scovillain
Battle 3: Zweilous, Dewott, Zacian (Hero) Vs. Totodile, Flutter Mane, Persian (Alola)
Battle 4: Victreebel, Sandslash (Alola), Shroodle Vs. Galvantula, Meowth (Galar), Magnezone
Next are the moves for the Pokémon, for them, I use a list randomizer to pick out the moves out of every move that Pokémon can learn, like level up moves, TMs, and Egg Moves, I will not be allowing moves that some Pokémon can only learn from their pre-evolved forms, for example, Victreebel cannot get Stun Spore, as that was a move it can only get from its pre-evolved forms.
