It is back to Pokémon Scarlet, and this one is where I encounter Koraidon, and this is after completing the main game. Koraidon is found at the deepest part of Area Zero, near Zero Lab, and if you are wondering how there are two of them, it is going to be very hard to explain without spoiling the final boss of this game, and I did record the final boss battle for this game which does give a spoiler warning, and while I do explore an area that can only be accessed at the end of the game and encounter some ancient Pokémon, it could kind of count even when it is not part of the story.
The Paradox Pokémon encountered in Area Zero are found in specific locations, first up is Slither Wing or Iron Moth, they can be found near Research Station No. 1, Slither Wing is a Bug/Fighting-type, and Iron Moth is a Fire/Poison-type, both resemble Volcarona.
Next is Scream Tail and Brute Bonnet, which are exclusive to Scarlet, and they can be found throughout Area Zero, Scream Tail is an ancient Jigglypuff, it is a Fairy/Psychic-type, and Brute Bonnet is an ancient Amoonguss, it is a Grass/Dark-type. In Violet, you encounter Iron Bundle and Iron Hands instead, Iron Bundle is an Ice/Water-type futurstic Delibird, and Iron Hands is a Fighting/Electric-type futuristic Hariyama.
Then we have Flutter Mane or Iron Jugulis, which can be found in a cave, Flutter Mane is a Ghost/Fairy-type that resembles Misdreavus, and Iron Jugulis is a Dark/Flying-type with a resemblance to Hydreigon. The mountainous area is where you can find Sandy Shocks or Iron Thorns, Sandy Shocks is an Electric/Ground-type ancient Magneton, while Iron Thorns is a Rock/Electric-type futuristic Tyranitar. Then we have the two Paradox Donphan, those being Great Tusk and Iron Treads, they can be found in the cave from Research Station No. 3 which leads to the depths of Area Zero, and there is the secret cave near Research Station No. 3 which is where you can find Roaring Moon or Iron Valiant depending on your version, Roaring Moon is a Dragon/Dark-type that resembles Mega Salamence, and Iron Valiant resembles both Gallade and Gardevoir, it is a Fairy/Fighting-type.
When you get to the deepest parts of Area Zero, that is where Koraidon is at, this Pokémon is exclusive to Scarlet, it is a Dragon/Fighting-type Pokémon, in Violet, you encounter Miraidon instead. Koraidon's Ability is Orichalcum Pulse, which summons harsh sunlight, and it boosts Koraidon's Attack by 33%, and its moves are Flamethrower, Collision Course, Bulk Up, and Giga Impact, it does have the low catch rate, but as Koraidon is already registered as being caught, Repeat Balls have a higher chance of catching it.
Going over Koraidon's stats, Attack and Speed are its best stats, and for its level up moves, it can get Drain Punch, Dragon Claw, and Screech, and for moves it learns, it gets Outrage at Level 77, Close Combat at Level 84, and Flare Blitz at Level 91. Koraidon is an excellent Pokémon in Tera Raids with access to Drain Punch and Screech, and this Pokémon pairs well with the past Paradox Pokémon, because the sunlight activates Protosynthesis.
Koraidon even has some good TM compatability, it learns Scary Face, Acrobatics, Bulldoze, Snarl, Flame Charge, Low Sweep, Zen Headbutt, U-turn, Shadow Claw, Stomping Tantrum, Swords Dance, Body Press, Iron Head, Crunch, Wild Charge, and Tera Blast for moves. Koraidon is a fearsome force in battle, while the Electric Terrain powers up Miraidon's Electric-type moves, and Miraidon being an Electric-type itself, Koraidon can work with a Fire Tera Type to make its Flare Blitz deal massive damage. Koraidon cannot learn Dragon Dance, the best it can do for boosting its Attack is Swords Dance, and it can have Outrage and Collision Course as its main moves, while Iron Head, Shadow Claw, Flare Blitz, or U-turn work as a coverage move of choice. This Koraidon does come with an Adamant Nature and 31 IVs in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, making it ready to fight, you can use a Mint to give it a Jolly Nature if you want more Speed, but I find Adamant to be better for Tera Raids, that way Koraidon can get in some extra power.
