Next is the Vermilion Gym in Round 2, and unlike Round 1 where some of the Trainers had Electric-type Pokémon, or in the case of the first three, many different Pokémon types like Water, Flying, Fire, and Poison. Round 2 adds a bit more variety, for example, the Raichu know Surf to handle Ground-type Pokémon, and the Trainers add more type variety, including some Grass-type Pokémon to counter the Ground-types.
The team that I went with was Dugtrio, Kadabra, Golem, Jolteon, Articuno, and Zapdos, each of them have ways to take on different types, Jolteon and Zapdos to fight the Water-types, and Articuno to fight the Grass-types.
I will list each of the Trainers, and the nicknames of their Pokémon, with the species name of the Pokémon in brackets.
Battle 1: Sailor
Chokelor (Machoke): Karate Chop, Strength, Seismic Toss, Submission
Fearlor (Fearow): Fury Attack, Fly, Mirror Move, Drill Peck
Kinglor (Kingler): Stomp, Cut, Crabhammer, Toxic
Brolor (Slowbro): Amnesia, Surf, Psychic, Fissure
Primelor (Primeape): Low Kick, Seismic Toss, Thrash, Screech
Ducklor (Golduck): Confusion, Dig, Take Down, BubbleBeam

Battle 2: Rocker
Poryace (Porygon): Psychic, Tri Attack, Recover, Thunder Wave
Golbace (Golbat): Mega Drain, Confuse Ray, Toxic, Swift
Trodace (Electrode): Flash, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Hyper Beam
Raichace (Raichu): Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Surf
Kangace (Kangaskhan): Thunderbolt, Earthquake, Blizzard, Double-Edge
Magnetace (Magneton): Supersonic, Thunder Wave, Double-Edge, Thunderbolt

Battle 3: Old Man
Pasect (Parasect): Slash, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Dig
Arnine (Arcanine): Take Down, Dig, Flamethrower, Dragon Rage
Victbel (Victreebel): Razor Leaf, Stun Spore, Wrap, Toxic
Pesian (Persian): Body Slam, Double Team, Thunderbolt, BubbleBeam
Charleon (Charmeleon): Slash, Dig, Fire Blast, Dragon Rage
Butree (Butterfree): Psychic, Mega Drain, Supersonic, Swift

Battle 4: Surge
Raichu: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Surf, Body Slam
Tangela: Mega Drain, Sleep Powder, Bind, Body Slam
Poliwrath: Amnesia, Psychic, Ice Beam, Submission
Lickitung: Double-Edge, Thunderbolt, Blizzard, Earthquake
Electabuzz: Toxic, ThunderPunch, Psychic, Seismic Toss
Electrode: Thunder, Swift, Explosion, SonicBoom

This is way harder in Round 2, you fight more difficult opponents, to the point where a full team of Ground-types are not going to work, because Sailor has many Water-type Pokémon on his team, and you fight two Raichu, both of them know Surf, I did see that they both have identical moves, Rocker has Quick Attack on his Raichu, while Surge's has Body Slam. As for Lt. Surge himself, he has Tangela and Poliwrath, which both counter Ground-type Pokémon, and his Lickitung has Blizzard to deal with them, he is really difficult with Rental Pokémon, and you will want to bring an Ice-type to fight Tangela, and either an Electric or Psychic-type to fight Poliwrath, these Gym Leaders in Round 2 do add more type variety to counter the types their specialty type is weak to.
