I used: Orthworm, Hisuian Arcanine, and Overqwil
My Opponent used: Garganacl, Gholdengo, and Volcarona
Stadium: Medali
Battle BGM: Trainer Battle

I do see that my opponent has a lot of Generation 9 Pokémon on the team, the only exception being Volcarona, but I did see there were some interesting Pokémon that I rarely ever see online, like Espathra for example, I don't remember when the last time I came across Espathra in any of my online battles, but I do know how dangerous that Pokémon can be if left unchecked, Espathra can have Speed Boost for its Ability, and it has access to Stored Power, which paired with Calm Mind, allows it to sweep teams. I picked Overqwil for this battle in case Espathra was used, she does also have a solid match-up against Skeledirge as well.
Garganacl was the lead, and I used Orthworm, while this should be an easy match-up for Orthworm, it is not, Garganacl has Salt Cure which at the end of each turn removes 25% of the opponent's HP if the Pokémon is a Water or Steel-type Pokémon, which was where I had to switch out for most of the fight. I was surprised by the Red Card on Garganacl, not an item that I would go with when using it, the item best for it would be Leftovers or a Rocky Helmet.
I do put Hisuian Arcanine to the test, and this was a Pokémon that I was interested in trying out in online battle, while Fire/Rock is one of the worse defensive type combinations, Hisuian Arcanine is at least an offensive Pokémon of those types, and I did give her a Grass Tera Type to counter Water and Ground-type Pokémon. She has a Choice Band for her held item, and her main moves are Flare Blitz and Head Smash, which pair well with her Hidden Ability of Rock Head, and Wild Charge is there for type coverage, but I don't know if I need to have Wild Charge if I have Tera Blast and a Grass Tera Type, but I had it just in case, Hisuian Arcanine does get Close Combat and Extreme Speed for other good Physical moves, and while it can hit hard, it can be tricky to get onto the field if it is weak to common attacking types like Water and Ground. I chose Arcanine for this fight to take on Gholdengo, but I did like the set my opponent went with on Gholdengo, not a set you would expect from that Pokémon.
My opponent does have Volcarona, which if you haven't heard the news, did get banned in competitive battling, the reason for this is Terastallization, Volcarona can go into many Tera Types, like Grass to defeat any Water, Rock, or Ground-type Pokémon, it can go into a Ground Tera Type to fight against Fire-type Pokémon, or Fairy to handle Dragon-type Pokémon, and with access to Quiver Dance, Volcarona is a very difficult Pokémon to stop. While this was a top-tier Pokémon in previous generations, Volcarona was more of a high-risk high-reward type of Pokémon, while its type combo is infamous for being 4x weak to Stealth Rock where Volcarona would lose 50% of its HP by switching in, if Volcarona was able to get in a Quiver Dance, it can sweep teams if used properly.
