Here is the last Starter Pokémon for the 7 Star Tera Raid Battle events, and as expected, we get Rillaboom, and this one has the Normal Tera Type. Out of the 7 Star Tera Raid events, the following types we have not yet had are Dark, Electric, Fire, Grass, Ground, Psychic, and Steel. At the start of the video, I show a Mystery Gift code for a Shiny Grimmsnarl that was used in a Championship tournament, but for some reason it has a Calm Nature, I would have preferred Impish or Careful, but you can use a Mint to change it to those Natures.
Rillaboom's moves in the Tera Raid Battle are Drum Beating, Acrobatics, Body Slam, and Low Kick, and for additional moves, it has Growth, Bulk Up, and Boomburst, it will use Growth at the start of the fight, and if anyone uses Koraidon, this will make Growth increase Rillaboom's Attack and Special Attack by two stages, this can be a tough opponent to take on.
I have two Pokémon for the Tera Raid Event that I prepared for this one, the main one is Corviknight, which resists Rillaboom's moves and his Defense can take the moves well, the strategy is to use Iron Defense and Body Press, I gave Reflect to Corviknight to support teammates, while Boomburst after Growth will deal a lot of damage, Rillaboom doesn't have that good Special Attack to deal that much damage, but this is a 140 Power move coming from a Normal Tera Type. I have Zamazenta for a backup, and this one has the Iron Defense and Body Press strategy, the downside is that in its Crowned Shield form, Zamazenta takes super effective damage from Rillaboom's Low Kick. I went with a Fighting Tera Type on Corviknight to increase the power of Body Press, and I did get some good allies for one attempt, which is a Ceruledge with Clear Smog and Will-O-Wisp, which helps against the stat boosts from Rillaboom, and it is immune to Boomburst.
To list other counters, Annihilape is once again a good counter, the downside is that Rage Fist will not work on Rillaboom, it does get Drain Punch and Bulk Up, and with Defiant, its Attack will get boosted after Rillaboom uses Drum Beating, I have seen some Iron Hands users, those pair well with Miraidon, which can set up the Electric Terrain to remove the Grassy Terrain set up by Rillaboom, and in turn activate Iron Hands's Quark Drive so they can deal some huge damage to Rillaboom.
Going over the moves Rillaboom can learn, it can get Taunt, Screech, Knock Off, and Wood Hammer, and for TM moves, it can get Low Kick, Acrobatics, Trailblaze, Bulldoze, Low Sweep, Bullet Seed, Brick Break, U-turn, Bulk Up, Body Slam, Drain Punch, Stomping Tantrum, Swords Dance, Body Press, Earthquake, and a few other moves. Rillaboom is one of the most used Pokémon in Double Battles due to Grassy Surge, and its main Grass-type move is Wood Hammer to deal some massive damage to opponents, and with Tera Raid Battles, Rillaboom's best Tera Type is Grass to power up moves like Drum Beating, and it can use Taunt and Screech to help allies out, and it can use Swords Dance to boost its Attack.
In competitive battling, Rillaboom usually goes with a Water Tera Type to resist Fire-type moves, or it can go with a Fire Tera Type to resist types like Bug and Ice. With the removal of Grassy Glide, the move is in the data, but no Pokémon in the game can learn it currently. It does have a Jolly Nature, and while this can be good for Choice Scarf sets, Adamant is the preferred Nature, as Rillaboom isn't really that fast of a Pokémon, and it usually tends to have HP investment and a bit in Defense and Special Defense, as this is a Pokémon that is used more in Double Battles for its Ability. This event is also the first time ever you can catch Rillaboom in anything other than a Poké Ball, which means that all of the Galar Starter Pokémon have appeared in Tera Raid Battles, I don't know what they will do next, as that is all of the Starter Pokémon available in the game.
