Back with some more Pokemon Stadium Round 2 Elite 4 + Rival attempts with the Red HGSS Team. Before I started the sessions, I decided to swap out my Charizard and Lapras from my Yellow File with a Charizard and Lapras from my Red and Crystal File due to how their speed stats are slightly higher meaning a tiny bit increase of crit rate. Also the Lapras was slightly more bulky in defense and Special meaning it can dish out a tiny bit more damage along with receiving damage. (Every little bit counts for these mons in particular against these Elite 4 Mons) Movewise, I realized Blastoise with Seismic Toss will do perfectly against Bruno's Slowbro and Lance's Lapras and well anything with 50HP or less remaining. For Snorlax, Rock Slide is great for the Articuno of Lorelei and Lance's Lapras and Charizard as well if I ran into those guys. Lastly, I gave Lapras Surf just in case for the Fire Mons mentioned above and also a special stab move that is 100% accurate. As for the attempts, well I managed to beat Lorelei and Bruno consistently without losing to them like before which is progress even if I barley win them. Unfortunately, everything gets ended by Agatha this time as for every attempt she would actually wise up and bring in her Psychics Jynx and Alakazam that can easily destroy the team just like Psychic from Poke Cup Master Ball. During these attempts, I also realized if I get hit by a single crit or two frrm Agatha at anytime, I just flat out lose. Not gonna lie, I knew Red's Lineup is very ass to play in this game in Gen 1, but literally it just feels unbearable to play with how I get little to no luck with crits at most and the opponents just manage to land like 10 of them for every 1 Crit I do XD. I am aware the Crit Ratio is based off of the Pokemon's Base Speed Stat in Gen 1, but there are times the not so fast Mon opponents land them better than the few Mons I use and can outspeed them like wow ok sure. After I played for an hour on here and got destroyed by Agatha b2b2b, I decided to give Lapras back Body Slam and Venusaur Double-Edge for physical attacking variety and maybe some CPU manip with their Pokemon selection I guess. Enjoy
