When I looked at my opponent's team, most of which had Pokémon of the same type, like my opponent had three Dragon-type Pokémon, both Garchomp and Zygarde having the same type combo of Dragon/Ground, and there were two Fairy-type Pokémon on my opponent's team, and one weird choice being Vileplume, which doesn't share any types with the rest of his team, and a Pokémon that I rarely, or almost never see being used online, so it would have been good to see what my opponent's Vileplume was capable of.
This was a battle where I had to put Slowbro to the test, because my opponent using both Garchomp and Azumarill is why I chose to lead with Slowbro, because he can take Physical hits well, and Scald is there to burn the opponent. Luxray was picked to deal with Azumarill, and she has Play Rough to deal super effective damage to the Dragon-types, but that will require an Agility boost, as Luxray isn't that fast to begin with, and she isn't likely to get in as much against Garchomp.
I was surprised that my opponent didn't use Belly Drum with Azumarill, but what I wasn't sure if if Azumarill had Belly Drum or if my opponent chose not to use it, and I did like the strategy with Gardevoir, as that is one that is rarely ever used, or in experience of online battles.
I wanted to try and get in a battle where I used Scizor, and I didn't think I would have a tough time against Indeedee of all Pokémon, there was one that outsped Scizor and took her out in one hit with Mystical Fire, and I was expecting it to have a Choice Specs, but it didn't, and I checked to see, and Indeedee does have a higher base Speed than Scizor, I don't ever come across Indeedee that often in Single Battles, because that Pokémon is used more in Double Battles. With my opponent's team, Scizor was chosen to use Bullet Punch against Gardevoir, but I wasn't expecting my opponent's strategy with that Pokémon, and she is also a great choice against Vileplume if my opponent picked that. I have a Choice Band on Scizor, as that is a good held item for her, I wasn't sure what else to have on her, another possibility was the Assault Vest, but this is the first time I have used this Scizor in a Single Battle team, while I have used her many times, every time Scizor has been on are Double Battle teams.
