The Pokémon series has been around for 25 years, and to tie-in with Pokémon Day, I get to Surprise Trade a starter Pokémon, and it is Treecko, the Grass-type starter Pokémon from the Hoenn Region. I didn't choose the Pokémon, it was picked for me at random, but to do a starter Pokémon for Surprise Trade on Pokémon Day, that does make it a good tie-in.
As usual, I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and these Treecko do have the Hidden Ability of Unburden, as there isn't much point having Overgrow on it, and I went with Timid for the Nature, as that is the most suitable Nature for Treecko. It does get a variety of Egg Moves, and the ones I chose were Leech Seed, Dragon Breath, Worry Seed, and Synthesis, its other Egg Moves are Absorb, Night Slash, Double Kick, and Slash, I find Absorb to be strange, as that was one of Treecko's early level up moves in previous generations, I will list which parents in the Monster & Dragon Egg Groups that can learn those moves.
Absorb: Goomy, Sliggoo, Goodra, Noibat, Noivern
Double Kick: Nidoran♂, Nidorino, Nidoking
Dragon Breath: Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Horsea, Seadra, Kingdra, Vibrava, Flygon, Swablu, Altaria, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Goomy, Sliggoo, Goodra, Drampa, Flapple, Dragapult
Leech Seed: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Flapple, Appletun
Night Slash: Axew, Fraxure, Haxorus, Druddigon, Duraludon (Requires Chain Breeding)
Slash: Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Axew, Fraxure, Haxorus, Druddigon
Synthesis: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur
Worry Seed: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur

Those are some good variety, and Night Slash is a move that requires Chain Breeding, and Dragon Breath can be learned by a variety of Pokémon in Treecko's Egg Group, and most others can be learned by the Bulbasaur line.
Treecko's best stats are Speed and Special Attack, it evolves into Grovyle at Level 16, and eventually into Sceptile at Level 36. Going over its level up moves, it can get Leafage, Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Detect, Quick Guard, Assurance, Giga Drain, Slam, Double Team, Energy Ball, Screech, Endeavor, and Leaf Storm. As a Grovyle, it can learn False Swipe, Fury Cutter, X-Scissor, and Leaf Blade, and when it evolves into Sceptile, it can learn Dual Chop. Back in Gen 3, Leaf Blade was the signature move for Grovyle and Sceptile.
Next is Sceptile's TM and TR moves, for TMs, it can learn Solar Beam, Thunder Punch, Mega Punch, Mega Kick, Magical Leaf, Dig, Solar Blade, Safeguard, Rock Slide, Sunny Day, Swift, Brick Break, Rock Tomb, Bullet Seed, Drain Punch, Cross Poison, Low Sweep, Acrobatics, Bulldoze, Grassy Terrain, Brutal Swing, and Breaking Swipe, and for TRs, it can learn Swords Dance, Body Slam, Low Kick, Earthquake, Agility, Outrage, Endure, Iron Tail, Crunch, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Seed Bomb, Focus Blast, Dragon Pulse, Grass Knot, Work Up, and Throat Chop, and for Tutor moves, the Treecko line can learn Grass Pledge, as it is a Grass-type starter Pokémon, and when fully evolved into Sceptile, it can learn Frenzy Plant. Its other Tutor moves are Grassy Glide and Scale Shot.
Sceptile is a decent Pokémon in online battles, its main use is Unburden, and it can be utilized in different ways, one way was using Leaf Storm with a White Herb, and that will double Sceptile's Speed to the point where it can outspeed everything. Another set is using Endeavor with a Focus Sash to get its target down to 1 HP and when it faints, another Pokémon can finish off the weakened opponent. Sceptile can learn some good Special moves, although it is a bit limited as it gets Energy Ball, Dragon Pulse, and Focus Blast. Even if its Attack stat is a bit average, it can use Swords Dance and some good Physical moves like Leaf Blade, Thunder Punch, Acrobatics, Dragon Claw, Crunch, Earthquake, and many other moves. The removal of Mega Evolution has hindered Sceptile's usability, because Mega Sceptile was part Dragon-type, and it had Lightning Rod which was what made it really useful in battle.
Sceptile isn't really too great in Double Battles, but it can hold a Psychic Seed with Indeedee as its partner to activate Unburden right away, it does get Detect to avoid attacks. As Sceptile is a starter Pokémon, it can use Grass Pledge, which it can use in combo with Fire Pledge or Water Pledge to create a special effect, and Sceptile is the fastest Grass-type starter, it works well with Fire Pledge users like Charizard or Blaziken, so when Sceptile uses Grass Pledge, the Fire Pledge user can use it right away, Water Pledge users like Primarina or Inteleon make good teammates for Sceptile, as they can use their Pledge moves to help Sceptile out.
While the Treecko line has been a fan favourite, well most notably with Grovyle in the Mystery Dungeon series, the removal of Mega Evolution has hindered Sceptile, although it is a decent Pokémon in battle.
