I have seen that most of the Wild Area events have usually been every two weeks, but it isn't always that, but anyway, this is the Meteorite Event, that is what Serebii.net is referring to this event as, it is live from September 17th till September 19th, and during that event, Lunatone and Solrock have increased appearances in the Max Raid Battles, and there is a rare chance you can find Shiny variants of both Pokémon.
Usually, most Wild Area events tend to have at least three Pokémon or even up to six Pokémon, but in this one, only two Pokémon have increased Max Raid Battle appearances, and you can find Shiny variants of both Pokémon.
One of the two Pokémon I will go over is Lunatone, and by the way, neither of them have Hidden Abilities, they both have Levitate, and both of them aren't that good competitively, but they are there if you really want to use them, I might as well go over their stats. Lunatone has higher Special Attack, and Solrock has higher Attack.
Then for their moves, Lunatone is one of few Special Attacking Rock-type Pokémon, and it is one of the few good users of Meteor Beam, combined with a Power Herb, Lunatone can fire off a Meteor Beam right away without needing to charge up, and the Special Attack boost can work well with the moves it can learn, like Psychic, Ice Beam, Earth Power, Shadow Ball, and a few other moves. Its base 70 Speed is kind of bad when compared to other Pokémon that are top tier, and it doesn't help that both Solrock and Lunatone have a ton of weaknesses, they can learn Rock Polish to boost their Speed so they can stand a good chance, but there are better options out there, Lunatone can use Moonlight as a decent healing move.
Solrock being the Physical Attacker out of the two, it can learn some decent Physical moves, like Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Earthquake, Flare Blitz, Iron Head, and many others, and for its healing move, it can use Morning Sun. Solrock can use Rock Polish to boost its Speed so it can at least attempt a sweep, but with so many weaknesses, it is not going to be that easy. Solrock can use some nice status moves like Will-O-Wisp to burn the opponent, and it can use Swords Dance to boost its Attack, but it is not easy when having both Swords Dance and Rock Polish. Despite Solrock's very low Special Attack stat, it can learn moves like Flamethrower and Solar Beam, but it doesn't have the Special Attack to make use of those moves.
One other thing is both of them are version exclusives, Solrock being exclusive to Sword, and Lunatone is exclusive to Shield, but with this Max Raid Battle event, both are available in each version, so this gives Sword players a chance to get Lunatone, and Shield players can get Solrock, so this Wild Area Event is more for collectors, because neither of them are viable for online battles.
