Polestar 1 (NFS Heat)/Eclipse Event COMPLETE: NEED FOR SPEED No Limits - NFS [ANDROID]
This is a sequential compilation of all, and only, the Event race WINS that culminated in success.
This video demonstrates how much time is required for what you may think is a "casual" mobile game.
NEED FOR SPEED: No LImits [ANDROID]
Eclipse Event for Polestar 1 (NFS Heat)
DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
TIMELINE:
0:00:00 - Day 1: Tryouts
0:07:33 - Day 2: Night Owls
0:15:32 - Day 3: Grease Monkey
0:26:11 - Day 4: Risk It All
0:37:30 - Day 5: Intrusion
0:49:56 - Day 6: Collapse
1:08:44 - Day 7: Showdown
What you are not seeing here are the replays of some of the replayable Events/Rounds to grind up parts/event-currency to desperately upgrade the car.
The load screens have also been snipped. Anywhere from 3 to 7 seconds... that's at least 5 minutes of excess load screen "space" that was cut out of this video, and keep in mind that this video is just to demonstrate how much time is required to WIN every single required race to succeed in one of these Events. More replays, more load screens. I did leave in a small handful of upgrade shots too... another element that adds to the time invested.
FACTS:
I did spend some (free) gold initially, and near the end when it became obvious, via the rigged nature of this game, that I would not win the car in the last couple of hours of the event, simply because there was not enough time to acquire enough free tickets (ie.. just 1 more)... I did surrender to my curiosity of having a high-PR car, and flushed $15 AUD down the toilet for a gold pack.
THOUGHTS:
This time limited event is where it becomes very obvious there is something more than a little suspect, a little screwy with the mechanics of the game. Day 6 and 7 is where the handling becomes extra weird and the built in "driver assists" at times force you into cars, walls, cops... the game is rigged, and nearing the end of the event where you are more likely to feel attached to reaping the rewards for all your daily efforts, failure so close to the finish line... it is all meant to provoke an impulse spending spree on tickets, parts... everything that costs ridiculous amounts of gold, which equates to large sums of real world money.
You can also check out in my follow up video, the failures that are just WTF moments. Impossible to catch or properly outrun an opponent classed as "Medium" difficulty based on your vehicles PR level... Medium would be very easy to beat even with a few horrible mistakes in the normal, non-time limited parts of the game. Again.. on Day 6 and 7 when most people that have gotten to that stage, you would be unwilling to throw away all that time/currency that has been invested. A shameless example of gambling-addiction marketing and design.
