Pouring Coffee into a Cup: Fluid Simulations in Blender
In this stream excerpt I'll explain the basics of Fluid Simulations in Blender. I'll show you the concept of getting the system going, then build a coffee cup and fill it up, apply materials and build a small animation from it. Supporters get access to the scene files.
I'm using Blender 3.1 for this, which includes Mantaflow (no need to activate anything for that). I'll use the internal Material Library for the shaders, which is an add-on that comes with Blender (only needs to be activated).
This was an impromptu stream I did the other day, edited and tidied up a bit for posterity. I'm following principles from the excellent CG Cookie tutorial here, a link to it along with written instructions can be found here: https://www.versluis.com/2022/06/creating-fluid-simulations-in-blender/
Enjoy!
