Power Rangers Acquired by Hasbro from Saban
734News broke this morning according to Deadline that Hasbro has purchased the Power Rangers franchise from Saban along with “other entertainment brands including My Pet Monster, Popples, Julius Jr., Luna Petunia and Treehouse Detectives.” Hasbro will pay nearly $230 million in cash and issue $270 million in Hasbro common stock for the assets. The sale is expected to during the second quarter of 2018. So, does this mean that we might see the Power Rangers get rebooted and a new movie released as a result? What franchises or properties might cross over to team up or battle the Power Rangers from the already established properties under Hasbro?
