Warning: this video contains spoilers for the game's first level.

I still haven't been able to return to glitching God of War. In the meanwhile, here are some not-particularly-extensive but hopefully still interesting observations of Prey from a while back when we were playing it with Kazooie. Most of the glitches here are a result of doing things in wrong order in the first area of the game.

(Not on the video: we first escaped out of bounds from Yu's room at the start of the game with the same method that is used in speedruns. Kudos to CreeperHntr for his tutorial. Then...)

0:00 - we escaped Neuromod Division before doing any events there to pick up a Glue gun and a Wrench and then returned. Taking the helicopter ride right afterwards looked a little bit different compared to normal... The city skyline had unloaded and Yu him/herself had no character model since we didn't get the uniform before leaving their room.

1:30 - of course, I was interested in seeing what happens if you killed the plot-critical character Alex Yu right in the first moments of the game. He is fairly passive while getting beat up, but his fight-or-flight reflex activates if you knock him down somehow.

On this first attempt the assassination didn't work out since Alex phased through the wall of the nearby security booth... luck of the devil!

2:51 - on second attempt I took care to glitch up the intro dialogue too by attacking Alex before even walking up close.

This early in the game Alex's loot is quite pathetic, and he only drops some random test samples.

3:49 - with Alex deceased, we continued on with the questionnaire. We put glue to the sides of the chair, causing Yu to shake and become displaced during the questionnaire.

5:04 - interestingly, the game knew to not play Alex's dialogue during the fade-out scene since he was no longer alive.

5:27 - having done things in wrong order, the apartment window reveal cutscene didn't work right either. The window itself was unbreakable. Knocking on it with Wrench caused the special "reveal" effects to play on each attack, causing the sound effects to overlap in a comical way.

(Not on the video: I played a bit onward in the game with Alex dead, and he still appears as a voice in the radio like normal. A bit anti-climactic, but understandable. This game may be extremely flexible in its triggers and plot progression, but it's not THAT flexible that it would even have a response to user-created glitchy scenarios.)
