Problem with train mod's wheels. Wont stay on track loop due to wheel deform

This video goes into R@D because it is experimental for me. I have not tried to make my own train tracks until today. There seems to be a problem with the train wheels deforming too easily on the tracks. I do show how to bend them in a loop though.

I did make a mistake where the lip that I added to help keep the wheel on the track better was upside down. It may have helped but the wheels are also deforming too easily.
