No Music.. No Talking.. Still messing with a new Indie release Project Wingman (single player)... while noticing the limitations of my old 1070GPU.. You may or may not have noticed a few Project Wingman missions I put up to view. Well, they looked fine alone didn't they? least to me they do... But the reality is, although they are set at 100% resolution... it is not till you push the resolution to 150% that the beauty of this game really shines as the colors pop out at you.. But, with the 1070, it also drops quite low in the FPS department.

NOTE: This has nothing to do with the performance the Quest 2 is capable of.. but the limits of my system.. while I still suggest, you can enjoy a nice VR experience without breaking the bank. In 2D on the flat screen I can keep it at 90-100FPS with 150% Resolution and can also flip camera to outside view.. which I am really not fond of.... but back to VR...

At 100% resolution the 1070 cannot maintain the 90hz and the software then cuts that in half and drops to 45hz.. very playable and smooth to my eyes.. granted 90FPS would be even smoother if the 1070 could maintain it.. it cannot.. So now boosting to 150% resolution, once again, the software notices it cannot maintain 45FPS and drops it to 25FPS.. and although I can struggle through the game and it looks fabulous besides the occasional jitters... it really cannot be enjoyed as much as the 100% resolution game play at 45FPS.. Obviously, the need to mention which side is which shouldn't be needed...:)

The time for a new graphics card is starting to churn within me.. is that little bump in clarity and color, worth a $800.00 plus purchase of a new GPU? not to me yet.. I have a blast with the 100% resolution at this point.. but when Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 releases VR.. it might be time.. :) anyways.. that is what this video is about.. comparing 100 vs 150 % resolution in Project Wingman..

Remember.. I just put these up for me to look back on.. they are not always something people may like.. and I am "ok" with that.. Enjoy

Game is running on High Settings, on I7-8700K-1070GPU-32g Memory..
