Rise of Flight 2020 revisiting Bristol F2B vs Fokker DR1

No Music.. No Talking.. Looking back at Rise Of Flight in 2020... I have had this game since it first released and have spent plenty of time enjoying it over the years.. it made me buy/build a better system back then and added TrackIR to the system as well..
You can get a free version of Rise of Flight now.. if you like WW1 planes, I suggest it for free.. if you are going to invest money though.. I would go with the more modern IL-2 Flying Circus when it is on sale only..
This flight is to compare with the one I did a few weeks back in IL-2 Flying Circus:https://youtu.be/PSM6Phu1bDQ .. judge for yourself.. If I am not mistaken.. although Rise of Flight does not offer VR like Flying Circus does.. at one time it did offer 3D depth of view with those two color glasses you could pick up for a buck.. anyways..

I added IL-2 Flying Circus to my IL-2 collection when it had a very good sale on it($27).. Not only is Flying Circus a better looking game..and as mentioned, it offers VR, which I am enjoying at the moment..
So why Flying Circus? Well the main reason again.. it has VR and I been getting back into VR with a Quest 2 headset, which works very well! The planes look a bit better and the effects are better.. What it does not have is a Career mode in Volume 1, although Volume 2 suppose too have one .. RoF is currently better in that respect.. I couldn't care one way or the other honestly.. there is the Quick Mission in the game and "Easy Mission Editor" created by the community for extra missions.. plus others in the community are being active with it..
The darn game was like 27 bucks down from 80.00 on this sale..finally in the right range to purchase.. so.. yeah... at that price it is a buy if you like WW1 Planes and have VR... Obviously it is not too shabby looking in flatscreen either..:) Just had to mention it before the sale ends.... probably be back on sale over Christmas as well.. 30.00 would be the highest I would go.. I can now uninstall Rise of Flight.. mmm.. maybe.. and with that said.. Rise of Flight is now FREE with a few planes and of course they sell many other planes to go with it... BUT NO VR!
All of my RoF and IL-2 programs come from the Original Websites, not STEAM.. but either place should not make a difference..
To Run on Quest 2 "linked'.. all I do is press the cog wheel in quest screen and press rift link to get to the desktop.. I press my IL-2 desktop icon to run the launcher.. I make sure the IL-2 LAUNCH program has VR checked under settings.. it does the rest nicely.

Rise of Flight United (Free kinda) on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/244050/Rise_of_Flight_United/
Remember.. I just put these up for me to look back on.. they are not always something people may like.. and I am "ok" with that.. Enjoy
Game is running in High Settings, on I7-8700K-1070GPU-32g Memory.. I would adjust down to medium on Multiplayer battles..
