No Music.. No Talking.. Still messing with a new Indie release called Project Wingman (single player)... on lines with Ace Combat 7, but with VR support.. yes, arcadish... playing with a 360 controller here because of the game type it is.. fast moving, shootin and scootin.. and dang if the Quest 2 didn't play it nicely like a champ! Used the linked cable... cog wheel to rift link to desktop, didn't start SteamVR.. went to game in my library.. pressed play.. choosing Oculus VR to launch .. made settings HIGH and FOV to 90... ran very smooth... and was fun.. nice experience.. Playable in both VR and non-VR for 25 bucks on steam. oh and VR records nicely in VR.. wish all games did.. Anyways..

Strange thing.. I have this title set at 144FPS in settings.. in 2D this game runs 115-135FPS on HIGH for my 1070 GPU system.. . While in VR.. the Mirror on monitor says 45FPS ( I found out if SteamVR cannot hold 90hz it will fall back to 45. I thought that 1/2 of 90 was odd..)... in game settings show 100% resolution defaults to 3264x1664 .. huh? Wha? with all those odd numbers pushed to the side.. I swear it is as smooth as warm butter no matter what the FPS may say... and as the VR videos verify.. anyways..

On a side note.. I have had TrackIR since Rise of Flight.. never did get it "perfect".. I am bitter sweet happy that VR has just about retired the device..

Remember.. I just put these up for me to look back on.. they are not always something people may like.. and I am "ok" with that.. Enjoy

Game is running on High Settings, on I7-8700K-1070GPU-32g Memory..

Oh where did I see that SteamVR falls back to 45 you say?
Well here: https://www.gamersbynight.com/il2-vr-settings-optimization/

Motion Smoothing – Motion Smoothing is the name for Valve’s predictive algorithms that allows the GPU to guess the next frame so it doesn’t have to render it. What happens essentially is that if your GPU cant render 90 frames per second (amusing your headset is 90 Hz), Motion Smoothing will reduce the rendering to 45 FPS and guess the other frames based on previous frames. This reduces load for the GPU but can cause artifacts.
