Project Zomboid is a zombie survival RPG with a difference: it's not about your victory over the forces of the undead, nor about your daring escape from the quarantined town of Knox. No, this game is the story of your death. At the epicentre of the Zombie Apocalypse, you have no chance to survive. Cut off from the outside world by a military force keeping you and the lumbering dead in, you ARE going to die... the only questions left are when and how.
Are you going to grab all the food you can, board yourself into a house and wait for the end? Are you going to take as many of the zombies down with you before you go? Are you going to try to rally other survivors and attempt to restore some semblance of order to your last days? Will you lose all inhibitions and give in to your dark side, killing and betraying all who come in your path? Or will you just turn the shotgun on yourself or drink a bottle of whiskey and take sleeping pills and let the end come peacefully?
It's all about your story. It's all about what you do with the time you have left.
Project Zomboid is in pre-alpha at this point, the small team of staff at Indie Stone working as hard as they can to bring updates. They are adding more stuff with each update, including adding methods for people to mod the game at a later date.
