Unlike 3rd Strike on PS3, there's no option to lower the number of rounds per match, which makes things considerably trickier against the boss, Gill, who by the second round usually has enough energy meter to use his "Resurrection" ability if you KO him--this regenerates up to his entire health meter (if you don't hit him in time as he's floating there; I almost always seem to forget to do it in time : P).
My pausing of the game against him at 16:39 was accidental--and followed immediately by me comboing (I think) the successful jump kick into super for the KO and match win. I *think* I had that super ready to go anyway--I probably hit the pause button because I was flailing around getting it set--but eh in tournament rules that would have been a DQ. ; )
A quirk of 2nd Impact is that many of the characters have to face their particular "rival" character from the cast AFTER beating the boss! Ooh that rival really burns me up, trying to rain on my parade like that!
And of course in Sean's case it's that darn Ken--who really is probably everyone's rival. ; P
