From IGN

“Bungie has added matchmaking assistance to Destiny 2's Trials of Osiris mode to make it more welcoming for a wider range of players, but it hasn't launched without its own fair share of controversy. As reported by Kotaku, the details of this matchmaking change to Trials of Osiris were shared in the latest This Week At Bungie, and are part of Trials of Osiris' revamp following the mode being offline for a bit. For those who are having some troubles in Trials of Osiris, Bungie will also offer "matchmaking help" until they start winning again. Luckily, the temporary nature of this change will hopefully help with those looking to game the system.”

“God of War Ragnarok has been listed in the coming soon section of the PlayStation network and might be hitting stores earlier than expected. God of War Ragnarok is one of the most discussed games on various forums since its announcement during the Playstation showcase two weeks ago. God of War enthusiasts are eagerly discussing the lore aspects, main antagonist and the release dates for the upcoming game. The game joins the likes of popular upcoming popular titles like Farcry 6, Battlefield 2042 and others slated to release near the end of this year.”

From Eurogamer

“Sony's latest system software update for PlayStation 5 went live last week, bringing with it the ability for all users to make use of the M.2 storage expansion bay for NVMe drive upgrades. The 667GB internal drive limitation for PS5 apps is now a thing of the past and games can be run from virtually any PCIe Gen 4.0 drive installed into the console. Sony has a series of recommendations, but what happens when you install a drive that doesn't meet the required spec? In fact, what happens when you augment your PS5 with the absolute slowest PCIe Gen 4.0 drive money can buy? Enter the Western Digital SN750 SE. 'Cheap and cheerful' perfectly sums up the SN750 SE. Prices start from just £56 for the 250GB model, which is the slowest model in the range (higher capacity versions are faster). Its low spec nature poses challenges for meeting PS5's requirements in a couple of dimensions. First of all, there's the recommendation for 5500MB/s of sequential read bandwidth (Mark Cerny actually specified 7000MB/s in the Road to PS5 presentation) and here, the SN750 SE only manages a paltry 3200MB/s - just 58 percent of the required transfer rate.”

“Sony fans are growing a little disgruntled with one feature from the PlayStation 4 that has not yet made it to PlayStation 5. Is it games? Nope, not games. How about hardware? Not hardware either, actually. It's in fact entirely visual and aesthetics - it's the lack of PlayStation 5 themes. On Reddit, one PS5 owner has taken to the PlayStation subreddit to complain about the lack of themes. In-Grey posted a picture of what they see every time they turn on their console, and yeah honestly it's a little... busy for my tastes too. They say: "I love my PS5, but I absolutely hate that they removed themes and instead THIS is what greets me whenever I turn on my console. Please Sony....please. bring back themes". And others agree. And you know what, although aesthetics aren't everything, especially on a menu, PlayStation has really pushed the sense that there is more to do with the console outside of the games you already have on it. That mean's it's showing you DLCs, or in the case of In-Grey's post, the Balenciaga collaboration for Fortnite. And if you're not into fashion or Fortnite why should you have to look at something that is an advertisement when you could, in theory, just have your background look nice. If we're in the shopping section of the PS5, fine, but if you're just booting up, it could be a little obnoxious, I agree.”
