The final itch.io Tuesdays video for Halloween month 2019 is the one you've all been waiting for. Indeed, I would not be surprised if all 20 of you watching this video knew that the itch.io Tuesdays series was leading up to this from the very beginning. This is Silent Hills P.T. Emulation running on Unreal Engine 4 with the X3DAudio HRTF wrapper [IRC_1037]. Really, does this game even need an introduction?
Well yes, actually. It does.
I have to give a big shout-out to Artur Łączkowski (https://twitter.com/arturlaczkowski) for making this all possible. There have been numerous Playable Teaser remakes over the years in various engines, but this version is by far the most detailed and faithful. I would even go as far as saying that the experience is superior to the PS4 original, as the level of immersion that binaural audio adds to Kojima's and Del Toro's lost masterpiece is truly unmatched. This is why Capcom put HRTF in Resident Evil 7, people. The picture piece puzzle was broken in the version I recorded, but it's working as intended in the newer build released on October 26th according to the dev.
