And so the search continue for the missing hat. Help this funny creature grab the purple hat again in this physics and puzzle game called Pursuit of Hat 2. The main objective here is to control your character and grab the purple hat. The level will be completed automatically once you get the hat somewhere on the platform. You may need to remove your legs to activate certain objects. You can grab the legs again if you miss your throw. Use this feature when you get to the levels where the purple hat moves away from you. The character you control can still grab robes to reach certain platforms.

Overview:

In Pursuit of Hat 2 you’re the same guy from the last game. The ever lovable white guy or thing or whatever you are that is in hot pursuit of lovely purple hat. It won’t be easy though as there are a lot of things that will hinder his pursuit for the hat. Help our white friend get this hat so that he’ll feel happy in some way, shape or form.

Aesthetics:

The game has very nice visuals. It has a nice bright tone to it despite being somewhat monotonic. You get to see the fluent movement animations from the character as well as the other surrounding factors. The background and terrain do look a bit repetitive but one can just say that it’s a theme going on. The background itself looks simple but nice sporting some nice colors. The music is a strong point as it changes from time to time. By time to time we mean that whenever you complete or fail a level, it changes. It’s a nice addition considering that you would probably want a change of tune when you would fail or not.

Gameplay:

The Pursuit of Hat 2’s gameplay is that of a 2D platformer and puzzle game. It’s not as action packed as most 2D games but it does the part to give you some form of entertainment. You control our white guy to make him move around the level. You can also make him jump to avoid falling down pits or getting over high places. You can also press the button where he starts pulling out his limbs until only his head is left. The objective in each level is to get the hat. The hat will be stationary at some points but there are times when the hat will run. It will also run away from you hence you have to capture it back. The puzzle elements kick in as to how you would get the hat. Keep in mind that it will run so you have to catch it by activating traps to block it or make it stick to the ground. If the character or the hat falls off then the level will fail. There are times when you have to navigate with the right buttons to seal the hat as well as capture it in the process. There are also times where you have to remove your limbs. This is to let you crawl into tight spaces or use your limbs as weights to keep a button pressed thus unlocking an area. You can also use those creatures that eat your limbs and pop you out to launch you at a certain direction. These creatures won’t eat you whole so make sure to use your limbs or even only your head to do so. The level won’t fail just because you lost one of your limbs. Remember the important thing here is to catch that hat and progress to the next level and catch it some more.
