I'm sure the monologue around the midpoint of the video would be more timely were the things touched upon not already discussed enough already, and I promised myself I wouldn't take more than ten minutes to write these these descriptions so an elaboration is right out. That said, I hope we're reaching a point in console and PC development where graphic detail plateaus, letting people focus more on things like increased enemy density without resorting to turning levels into a series of arena fights. No disrespect to games that are (Painkiller is awesome, go play it), but they really do play a lot differently than the older run-and-gun-style games.
