Radeon RX 5900 XT Benchmarks & Leak | Nvidia Teases Resizable BAR & RTX 3060
815A surprising find today, as several benchmarks and details have leaked on the Radeon RX 5900 XT GPU. We delve into what we can learn from the specs and performance of this particular graphics card, and AMD's initial plans for it. Looking at the benches and tests done, the Radeon 5900 XT was pretty impressive. We also examine the various GPU (shroud and board) photos which surfaced alongside this leak. Overall, what do we make of the Radeon RX 5900 XT based on this leak?
Nvidia have also teased their plans for CES 2021, which is fast approaching. Their short tease doesn't reveal much, but it does tease resizable BAR (AKA SAM or smart access memory), as well as the RTX 3060 graphics card. We have heard much about the RTX 3060, some of it confusing with how it fits into the stack with the rest of the RTX 30 Ampere cards, so an official reveal would put a lot of those to bed. We are expecting AMD to also appear at CES this year, so who will "win" the conference this year?
Finally, a leak has also sprung on the RTX 3080 Mobile, as a laptop containing the RTX 30 mobile card has surfaced. We've learned a great deal about the mobile Ampere cards from Nvidia lately, but this is a great chance to see at home inside an actual laptop. With desktop GPUs and CPUs so hard to procure due to the shortages, will some PC gamers opt for mobile instead?
