With the future of NASA hanging in the balance, John Glenn embarked on a risky voyage, on an unproven rocket, in America's first ever orbital spaceflight. From "fireflies" to fireballs, this voyage into the unknown will test even the veteran Marine test pilot in ways he never dreamed of.
