Raging Heroes: Sampling the June thieves' guild!
Like the video states, I've been quite critical of Raging Heroes' last few releases as being a bit flat. While the samples I showed off may not be the most egregious examples of flat models they've released, you're welcome to browse some of the other videos I've posted complaining about that... I'll wait.
Done listening to past me rambling on about the issue at hand? Good. I absolutely can't say Raging Heroes is still operating on a mostly 2D plane after seeing what they have been doing with their 3D printer offerings. Their first batch of pirate models were a bit subdued, the spider queen's retinue were largely multipart monsters, but this new thieves guild... they're just all over the place. Literally!
These models are really dynamic. Just take a look (but ignore the defects where they strayed too close to the dead zone of my printer) at how unfettered these models are. I can only imagine how many pieces they'd need to be cut up into in order to be cast in resin. They certainly took up plenty of space on the build plate for 30mm scaled models thereabout!
Appreciated is the fact that you've got a lot of fantasy races represented as well as both genders (or any non binary option you wish to choose) getting equal presence within the guild's offerings. Except for a lizard. Why did you guys have to do me dirty like that? At least a bird got in there though.
Sadly my screen is waiting for repairs at the moment so I can't print the big crazy stuff like the djinn, the queen's throne, or all the flying carpet bases for all the guild members, but Raging Heroes really seems to be going all out giving people a lot of value for their money.
All said there's about 13 thieves in the complete set, plus the djin, plus plus flying carpet bases for the entire guild, plus plus plus a big giant version of the djinn that can have all the members zipping around him on their carpets. It's pretty crazy!
Do not fret either if you don't have access to a 3D printer- the first group of models Raging Heroes produced on their Patreon have actually been released as regular resin models on their store (minus the giant crab raft and giant giant crab ship)! So there's hope of getting these professionally cast if that's what you're after! When that'll be is anyone's guess though...
