Battle Yak Miniatures: The bugged up elves of the Primal Heart Eldarch!
53I've had a hankering for bug people, and thankfully Battle Yak Miniatures answered my need!
These are an example of wood elves taking it a bit too extreme when they get back in touch with their nature roots, that's for sure!
These guys were super modular. There's all sorts of weapons, heads, and optional organic bits to work with. There's also some cross compatibility with the smaller Imago and larger Predators if you're willing to play with the sizes of parts or join them together in Blender or Meshmixer. Only real mark against them (for me at least) is a lack of ranged options besides the shuriken and some enclosed helmets. Or just straight up crazy bug heads. It sounds like this might get revisited some time in the future, so I'll remain cautiously optimistic.
I feel they'd be great as some alternatives for mass battle games or as some sort of RPG insect race. Of course with the spiders from Raging Heroes, the crazy bugs from Bestiarum, and now these guys, I'm thinking we're going to have to have some sort of hive invasion skirmish game.
At the very least next month's release from Battle Yak is a set of what looks like a Doom Slayer crossed with Primaris Power Armor. Should make for a summer full of having to rip and tear until it is done.
