Rainbow Six Siege: Jager Operator Guide- No Fly Zone
20Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to my Jager Operator guide. Jager is a defensive operator for the GSG-9 CTU. Jager can equip the M870 shotgun or the 416-C Carbine as his primaries. He can only equip the P12 handgun as his secondary weapon so you dont have much choice there. He can also equip the deployable shield or barbed wire as his secondary gadgets. As for his primaries the 416-C is a great carbine: its pretty good at range, does decent damage, and has 30 rounds per magazine. The high recoil isnt really a problem either, because you'll either get used to it or you'll tap fire the weapon, I suggest tap firing. The M870 Shotgun only holds 7 shells at maximum capacity and its a shotgun, so its pretty self explanatory to say that its great at shutting people down at close range (In the objective area) and isnt good at range. I will say that its reload speed is lengthy so make sure to time your reloads, if you choose to use it, when there are no enemies nearby and dont be afraid to switch to your pistol if you need to. Now there is nothing wrong with using either of these since its down to your personal preference, but with that being said I suggest the 416-C. It has a longer range and if you can tap fire you can get those lethal headshots suprisingly quick. After using this weapon for quite a few hours I've learned to really love it, its definitly in my top 10 weapons in the game at this point. As for secondary gadgets I suggest you use the deployable shield. The shield can be used to block a doorway or provide extra cover your team needs. Now for the moment you've all be waiting for, lets discuss Jager's special ability. Jager's special ability is called the Active Defense system, but for the sake of time I will refer to them as his trophy systems. Now these are basically anti-projectile turrets. And when I say anti-projectiles I mean any type of grenade, Ash's breaching rounds, Thatchers EMP grenades, and Fuzes Cluster Charge grenades. If I missed anyting please let me know in the comments below. Also you'll probably want to know that you get three of these trophy systems. You'll also want to know that each trophy system can destroy three projectiles, they have three rounds. Now there are many strategies that you can put into motion with his ability. But for all of them do not put his trophy systems close to each other. For example if you place two of the systems close to one another then both of them will fire on the same projectile, thus wasting the charges of one of the systems. I suggest you spread your three systems across the entire objective area. Now to use his ability effectively try to cover as many entrances to the objective area as possible. This ability is one of the most useful in the game and for the most part is pretty self explanitory. I'd like to note that he is really effective against Fuze. Fuze's cluster charges are one of the best, if not the best, abilities in the game and Jager can counter that. If Fuze detonates a charge through a window or door that Jager placed a system behind then his charge becomes massively less effective. His system will shoot down three out of the four grenades that the charge releases, this means that Jager can oftenly save his team from the menace that is Fuze. Jager also works very well against Thatcher. Since Jager's systems destroy Thatcher's EMP grenades. Now lets get to one of the more intresting parts of my guides: the combos and counters. Jager combos well with any other defensive operator. Now there are quite a few counters for Jager. The best of which being Twitch. She can use her shock drones to destroy his systems rather easily. Another counter to Jager is IQ, she can see his systems through walls and can safely shoot them through barricades.
