Hello and welcome to my Frost Operator Guide. Frost is a defensive operator for the JTF2 CTU. Just a reminder if you enjoy this video please subscribe. Now Frost can equip the Super 90 shotgun or the 9mm C1 sub-machine gun as her primaries. She only gets one option for a secondary and that is the Mk1 9mm pistol. She can equip a nitro cell or a deploy able shield for her secondary gadget. Now I actually enjoyed both her primaries equally, both are really good. Her Super 90 can shut people down in close quarters and makes her a danger in CQB. Her C1 sub-machine gun is pretty decent and easy to control which makes going for that one lethal head shot pretty easy. Now time for my personal opinion. I enjoyed both of these equally but I would suggest the C1. I suggest the C1 because it has a longer range than the super 90 and can get that one head shot a lot faster than a shotgun can. As for her secondary gadget it comes down to your personal preference. You can use the nitro cells to kill grouped up enemies or provide a distraction while you flank. You can use the deploy able shield to hold up better in the objective area or you can use it for an awesome tactic that I'll talk about later on. Now on to her special ability, which is the Welcome Mats. Now these are basically bear traps, they look like bear traps and they act like bear traps. Enemy players will step on the mat, the trap will trigger, and the enemy will be downed. And when I say that the enemy will be downed, I mean that they will need a team mate to pick them up, that kinda downed. If its a one versus one situation and an enemy steps on a welcome mat, you will win the round because they will be counted as dead because there is no one to pick them up. Also I should mention that the traps are not bound to doors like Kapkans traps, you can place them anywhere on the floor as long as theres room for the trap. Another thing I would like to note is that her traps cannot be destroyed by Twitches drone or Thatchers emp grenades. Now there are many strategies you can put into place with the welcome mats. One strategy is to put the mats at the top of stairs, most times the enemy wont see the trap because they'll be looking up the stairs. Another great tactic, and one I really suggest and the one that utilizes the deploy able shield that I mentioned earlier is to lay down the shield in front of a doorway to block a path, then you put the welcome mat behind the shield. Now this can screw up the enemy in many ways. The first is that if they vault over the shield they'll get hit by the mat and go down, then you can just shoot them and kill them. Another way it can screw with them is that if they see it they'll have to look over the shield to shoot the trap, this we live them exposed and you'll be able to pick up an easy head shot. The final way this cheeky tactic could fuck with your enemy is that they'll have to waste an explosive to get rid of your shield. Another great tactic is to just distract your enemy and trick them into walking on the mat. But anyways onto the combos and the counters. Now Frost combos pretty well with most of the defenders but there are a few that she combos with better. Now those are the ones that can lay down traps as well, so they can create a layer of traps. Now she combos well with Kapkan, he can lay down his laser traps then Frost can lay down her traps behind his to create a nice defensive line of traps. She also combos well with Smoke. Smoke can use his gas canisters to panic the attackers, which will cause them to blindly sprint into Frost's welcome mats. Now who counters Frost, well I'll tell you. Really anyone can counter her. To destroy her traps you just shoot them. So if you have a gun, you can destroy her traps and effectively counter her.
