Rallisport Challenge 2 w/ Mad Catz MC2 Wheel (XBOX)
77Loading times and menus have been removed for your consideration and enjoyment. The sound in the racing parts of this capture were recorded straight from my camera that captured the MC2 Wheel. Without it there would have been no sound since I was stupid and hooked the sound up wrong to the video capture device. However I thought the sound quality was good enough from my camera so I kept the footage I had and just matched it with the sound from my camera. This was kind of a spur of the moment idea that grew into a much bigger project. I was just going to do a normal capture until I saw that there doesn't seem to be very much footage of this game using the in car view and absolutely nothing with a wheel. So I decided to capture the Mad Catz MC2 Racing Wheel in action for the first time on my channel, and I think it turned out really well.
Rallisport Challenge 2 as been given the title "simcade", and I think that's fair. I have 2 other rally racing games for the XBOX (Rally Fusion and Colin Mcrae 2004). Rally Fusion while fun doesn't even feel like much of a rally game and Colin Mcrae is quite boring as most sims are. Rallisport Challenge 2 has a ton going for it with it's beautiful graphics and 60 frames per second framerate to match, to it's excellent sound, to it's great variety in tracks and racing styles. I show all 5 styles of racing starting with rally cross, crossover, rally, hill climb, and ice racing. Like most racing games, the Rallisport Challenge 2's personality changes when you're using a wheel and the first person view. Using just a regular controller with the rear cam makes the game feel much more arcade like. Rallisport Challenge is not punishing like Colin Mcrae but it does still take skill to beat the A.I. In this capture I show the single race mode, but in the career mode you are mostly racing against the clock unless it's a rallycross or crossover stage. This game does feature good music, but I turned it off because I don't feel like fighting a false claim right now.
This is a great racing game plain and simple. Using the MC2 wheel just makes it that much better. This is one of the best exclusives for the XBOX. Thanks for watching.
