Like no other, this is a mod on top of one of the greatest mods ever made for Doom brought to the Doom community ever so graciously by a guy who calls himself Painki113r. This is Project Brutality which is a mod to the already amazing Brutal Doom which changes quite a few things about Brutal Doom for the better. All of the weapons have been redone from looks to sound effects. Some new weapons have been added as well which are not really shown in this capture. The enemies are even more aggressive now and the imps are able to scale the ceilings. Some of the demon's sound effects have changed, most notably the imps which have changed to their Doom 3 sound which actually sounds quite awesome here. The blood and gore have been stepped up a notch as well as lighting effects. Throughout the game you will receive weapon upgrades such has an automatic shotgun and a rifle to replace the handgun, and so on. If you have the difficulty set to progression, new and more powerful enemies will appear that are twice as aggressive and harder to kill. You don't see them in this capture, but they are present in the next episode and they are absolutely vicious. It's amazing.

The WAD that I'm playing here is SGMarkIV's very own Hell On Earth levels which is a pack of 32 levels split between 3 episodes and are just as great as Romero's levels are. After playing through Doom 1 and 2 I decided to continue on to Hell on Earth instead of Final Doom because it looked like a good change of pace. The level I play here is the last level in the first episode which is you escaping with your fellow marines through a portal to Earth. This level is extremely linear as you're just supposed to make a run for the portal with unreal amounts of opposition. It's a good idea to try your best to keep your fellow marines alive as they come in handy in distracting the Hell Knight horses you face off with at the end of the level. I've died many times there, but couldn't wait to come back for more because it was so much fun. As a matter of fact this video is the first time I beat the two Hell Knights. The other levels are the Doom style as usual with hunting for the keys to unlock doors and secrets. I chose this level as it created a relatively short video and shows of the insanity of Project Brutality. I am playing at the Brutal difficulty, but there are many other levels above that if you wanna make it more interesting.

I posted this video because I actually completed both Doom and Doom 2 with the Project Brutality mod and I couldn't imagine going through Doom any other way. Vanilla Doom was great. Brutal Doom was amazing. Project Brutality is EPIC! Download the Project Brutality mod now and play through Doom again like you never have before! Project Brutality comes with the option of playing regular Brutal Doom v20b or Traditional Brutal Doom which gives you the traditional weapon set.

You can use a launcher like ZDL or just do what I did in the beginning of the video and just drag and drop the mods onto the GZDoom executable. You will need the latest unofficial version of GZDoom for Project Brutality to work. This version automatically comes with the Hell On Eatrh starter pack.

Lastly I apologize for the 4:3 capture. My monitor is 4:3 and it's a royal pain to adjust my resolution to a widescreen resolution as it messes up my video drivers somehow and I have to system restore every time I do it.
