Rally 2011 LED Storm Arcade
18Here the major differences:
-The player now only has 2 buttons – jump and transform.
-Player has a futuristic car which can transform into a bike.
-The game has many more enemies which can mostly be destroyed by jumping on them.
-A rival blue car has been added which torments the player throughout the stage, this can be crashed by jumping on it but not destroyed.
This is also main story of this version, a red guy with a red car and blue guy with a blue car bet on which one will win the race.
You need to win the last race in first place, with the blue car behind you, if you wanna see the winning screen and credits. After that the game loops.
-Powerups are dropped by weapon carriers, fuel is still available as ground or air based pickups, collecting 6 red oilcans to complete ENERGY gives a big fuel bonus.
-Jump button gives a short jump, releasing and pushing forward causes speed up animation and jumping via side wall is still possible.
-Forward/back control speed but now to maximum extents.
-Attract mode now gives instructions and a better play example, falling money intro and MAC are still present but MAC’s map has been recoloured.
-Between stages MAC is shown with a map update, then this scrolls right to display the top times position and energy bonuses, and then the comment/speech from MAC.
-Extra line of copyright text for CAPCOM USA as required on title screen.
-Music now recycles at stage 5.
-Some levels have been recoloured slightly.
-High scores have been changed.
-The game is generally harder, jumps are way more faster, so you'll land way early compared to the final product, you need to perfectly control the car for not crashing ,also there are flying pads that makes you jump higher, they can mess you'll whole run if you don't play attention.
-Courses are different and longer with three are checkpoints and the car energy fuel burns out super fast.
So as you can see it's a different version of the game that plays differently too, tbh i prefer this version to the final product, anyway thanks to MAME you can choose freely the Led Storm you like more.
