Rally Cross (2003) - Every PC Rally Game

Apparently this is an Educational Game, by Grey Olltwit Educational Software. The description on their site states "Rally Cross helps to improve fine motor skills and manual dexterity when racing against the clock around a circuit. Logic and planning skills are also helped in building your own circuits. Helps with fine motor skills, reaction times".
What you have here is a basic, top-down rally game, where you can set a fast lap per each track you race (there are 2 included with the game, but you can also make your own using a 100 square grid (though the start block is always middle-left). There's a range of cars, with more added in a later patch, and some slightly annoying music (disabled here). It plays a touch smoother than shown in this video, but still skips a little.
Handling isn't really very "rally", though you can skid a bit if you turn too fast. You can also switch the speed of your car at any point with the Standard/GTi/Turbo buttons at the bottom of the screen. Sound is pretty awful though, with the engine noise stepping up and then staying at a constant tone (unless you slow down a lot). It's also the same noise for every car.
The first and last tracks shown in this video are ones included with the game, the rest I created. I've taken liberties with the editor and made some that are entirely off-road, but these aren't tracked by the game as actual tracks, due to the lack of road sections :-D
Overall, I wouldn't track this one down. If you enjoy more unusual handling and a 3D world/track maker, go get Speed Masters ASD on Steam instead!
