🎮 Rare Handhelds & a Bizarre Grape N64?! Retro Game Hunting at Hard OFF & BOOK OFF in Osaka!
96In this video, I visit a Hard OFF and BOOK OFF in Sakai, Osaka (filmed in late February 2025) for another round of retro game hunting in Japan! This particular store was packed with handheld consoles, including several special edition Pokémon models—but with some pretty steep price tags (over ¥170,000 in some cases!). 😳
The game selection covered a wide range of platforms, though there weren’t many standout titles this time around. I did pick up a few original Game Boy games at decent prices.
The most unique piece of hardware I saw? A heavily discolored Grape Purple Nintendo 64 that looked like it had a marble-like finish—definitely one of the more bizarre N64s I’ve come across!
