The first portal in the basement takes you to Atlantis, back before it sunk under the sea. This is probably the most complicated level in the game, lots of hidden keys, levers and switches you need to push. The part where you jump on the blocks as the water rises can be tricky because of the awkward camera angle. You have to do that part twice too, possibly more if you forget to do something like push a blue switch. I quit and restarted this level a few times because I wanted to lose as few lives as possible.
