This PS1 exclusive 3D platformer was released in 1998 and was developed by Traveller's Tales, it was their first proper 3D game after Sonic R. You play Rascal, a kid who travels through time armed with a bubble gun. The premise is that the evil Dr. Chrono has kidnapped Rascal's dad, Professor Casper Clockwise and you need to rescue him and defeat Chrono and his minions.
You access the game's levels through time machine portals found in Rascal's house, which is the central hub of the game. As you beat stages you get keys that unlock more rooms in the house and thus more stages. It's a set up similar to 40 Winks, another PS1 platformer released later.
To be honest the game doesn't play particularly well, it has tank controls and probably one of the worst cameras ever seen in a 3D platformer. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that has little experience with such titles as it will likely drive them nuts. I did manage to complete it though and will be uploading my full playthrough.
This will be a mix of blind and non-blind gameplay. The reason being that although you can revisit boss stages you can't revisit regular stages. As such there is no way of grinding for extra lives like you normally can in hub based 3D platformers. Therefore it would be entirely possible to finish a stage with no lives remaining and hardly any health, thus rendering the game almost impossible to finish. With that in mind I would often quit and restart a level if I felt I'd lost too many lives. There are however some I beat first time without losing too many lives, these will obviously be played blind. I'll indicate which are which in the relevant videos.
Anyway this is the intro movie, sound is a little distorted at the start, not sure why but it's only for a few seconds.
