Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction Part 26: Trouble in Space
So, after breaking Talwyn out of jail and collecting a gold bolt (I really wanted to see what was in the other direction and found out that I could shoot the hoovering robots that hold things up for us), we then head to our next planet. Well, that is after we take out a metric crap-ton of Pirate ships along the way. I’m fairly sure I’ve talked about the flying missions in this game but, it does bear repeating because of how ground breaking it is; I do enjoy the flying missions in this game. Mostly because it doesn’t require me to actually fly around like the very first game and instead is more of an on-rail shooter (similar to the Gummi Ship missions in Kingdom Hearts). For those who don’t understand, I generally suck at flying just about any sort of craft (Helicopters, Planes etc.) in video games so, as you might imagine, finding a flying mission which I find to be fun is kind of mind blowing. I didn’t mind the flying in the third game but, if I’m being frank, I kind of enjoy this a little more. It does start to feel a little like a bullet-hell game (one of those games that allows you to control a small ship who has to fight a crap-ton of enemies which a like, fifteen metric crap-tons of bullets on screen; hence Bullet-Hell) but I don’t mind too much because it doesn’t clog up the screen as much as they do *Note: I suck as Bullet-Hell Games and tend to not play them because they are super hard for me; this isn’t nearly as bad as a traditional bullet-hell game*.
