Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction Part 28: One Hard Boss Fight
0So, after exploring the underground Gelatonium Factory and heading over to the mining facility that is under attack, we soon find a rather large and unhappy person who doesn’t really like people at the facility. I think this is one of the first big boss fights (I don’t really consider the Bosses in the Arena the be traditional boss fights but rather challenges since we have to fight them multiple times) and it was a rather hard one. It begins with a rather cool grinding sequence (I think during one of the many attempts, I started to talk about how the grinding doesn’t seem to be very realistic and went on a huge rant about it but I think it got deleted since, as I’ve said, this took some time). And then we begin fighting the Machine upside down on a platform. He does eventually knock sections of the platforms down but, after a while, I found it easier to fight him on the ground because I think some of my shots were being blocked by the railing. My biggest problem with the Bosses health bar in this game is that it doesn’t feel like my bullets do anything; When I first fought with him, I wasn’t even sure I was doing damage to him from the ground (that being said, he might take reduced damage while on the ground but I have no idea). I just wish their health bar indicated the damage better (all it does is barely tick down and that is only when you use a powerful weapon, otherwise it slowly ticks down and you barely notice the difference unless you watch and, if you are watching the health bar, that means you aren’t watching the fight).
