Raw Data 0.6 Closed Beta: New Map Cataclysm - VR Gameplay HTC Vive
12As part of the VIP program I got to check out the new 0.6 update for Raw Data early!
The new map once again introduces a new mechanic that builds on previous iterations. With Cataclysm, you don't really have any choke points to defend. You are on an elevator that moves between waves which prevents you from dropping turrets off your platform. Well, you can but it wouldn't be efficient as they'd only be useful for one wave.
The focus of the map is to destroy the generators that are placed around the map. You can only destroy a generator when it's hacked and opened up. Getting to the right generator at the right time is the biggest challenge.
I actually found the map pretty easy as Bishop. Couldn't complete as Saija (I'm bad with her.) and was pretty rough with Boss. This is probably due to me using Bishop most of the time and not really having any real practice as the other two.
The last wave was probably the most fun of the 5. Don't believe those two when they tell you I passed out... I'm totally to much of a badass to do that...
As far as the story goes. We got a huge reveal this go around. As usual though it's hard to hear the dialog mid gun fight. I need to tweak my audio settings some more. I'll let you guys figure out the reveal by watching/playing for yourselves.
